Sylvan Park Kitchen

This 1940′s, post war home located in the Sylvan Park neighborhood is a sound little home, with so many great original features.  Beautiful hardwood floors and original stained wood work are a couple of features that stand out. Playing off of the mid century elements of the home, we are planning a simple and sophisticated space that will nod to the home’s original era. Teaming with contractor J. Scillian and a homeowner with a great eye, we are expanding and remodeling the kitchen, updating the main floor bath and adding a screened in porch and deck area that will enhance living in this wonderful home.

Work on the kitchen has begun.  With demolition complete and our expanded space framed in, electrical is next on the agenda! We have most of our kitchen selections finalized.  Hardwood floors will be spliced in and finished along with all of the hardwoods on the first floor. Custom designed cabinets are in production. Paint, lighting, counter top material and appliances have been selected. This week my focus turns to our tile back splash. More photos to come!
