Linden Avenue Bath

I recently finished up working as a consultant on a master bath remodel in a lovely home on Linden Avenue. The home is a modern construction, four square house that draws its inspiration from the period homes of the neighborhood. This project is a perfect example of how I can work with clients in the role of a consultant. This is a great way to have design guidance and keep your budget intact!

When I initially met with the homeowner, we discussed some practical design ideas, such as how to approach the project in order to maximize the existing elements, while upgrading the function and aesthetic appeal of the space. We discussed the overall goal for the project and outlined our process.  Having decided that the existing cabinets, lighting and toilet would remain, the homeowner set out to do her own preliminary shopping for plumbing fixtures, fittings, tile and counter top material.

We had a follow up meeting to review the tile and plumbing options that she was considering and made the final decision together. After we nailed down those elements, we selected our wall paint. The finished space reflects the homeowners personal style and flows seamlessly with the rest of the house. Using only about 4 hours of consultation time, we were able to make the most of the homeowners vision for the space.
